The second is that Emsisoft Anti-Malware features a dual-scanner powered by Emsisoft and BitDefender technology. Emsisoft decided to go with two scanners because it is a lot safer than using just one. By partnering with BitDefender, a major antivirus company, Emsisoft offers you, the user, a higher level of protection.

As already mentioned above, Emsisoft Anti-Malware uses three layers of protection to keep your PC and your data safe:
Surf Protection – prevents you from accessing malware-spreading sites. A list of dangerous sites is maintained and updated every hour, thus helping you stay away from dangerous sites.
File Guard – checks to make sure you’re not downloading a dangerous file. All downloads are checked against a database of more than 10 million signatures to ensure you’re not downloading malware.
Behavior Blocker – monitors the behavior of all active programs and thus protects against 0-day threats.
